So, I debated for awhile about what I was going to write about this week. As I’ve told you before, sometimes the topics don’t come easy to me. But, as I was thinking about all my possibilities for tonight I just kept thinking about our Fireworks For Good Party. And, it struck me that this is what I should be talking about today.

In just a few days we’ll be opening our doors on a Tuesday evening.  This is weird for a couple of reasons. First, we’re only open right now on Fridays and Saturdays. And, second, because I’ve been telling everyone and their brother that we’ll be open 6 days a week SOON— and, that we’ll be closed on Tuesdays.  What can I say? We like to keep you guys on your toes. In any case, Tuesday, July 3rd, is going to be one heck of a party.

In fact, it’s more than a party. This my friends, is a party FOR GOOD. John and I recently committed Trek Brewing Company to The House That Beer Built, which is a collaboration project between several Columbus area craft breweries and Habitat for Humanity. The funds for this project will be raised entirely by the Columbus area craft brewing community, and we’ll work together with Habitat to help a family into their new home.  Habitat for Humanity does a lot of incredible work in our community, and we couldn’t be more excited to be a part of this. Our first big event for The House That Beer Built will be this Fireworks For Good party.

Your $15 ticket to the event includes your first drink at Trek. $5 from EVERY ticket sold will go directly toward our project with Habitat for Humanity Mid-Ohio’s The House That Beer Built. We’ve lined up Moe’s Original Bar B Que Food Truck to be at Trek so that there will be great food available for purchase at the party.  We’ll have board games, card games, and sports on the TVs. The kids area will most definitely be open, and kids under 18 are free with purchase of adult ticket.

Trek will open at 6pm for this event. We’ll have someone out in the parking lot directing cars for parking, and we’ll be checking you in in the lobby. There is no physical ticket for this event. Tickets purchased online will automatically be entered into our database. If you purchase at Trek over the weekend we’re writing down your name/email. Once you check in, you’ll receive your ticket for your free drink. This ticket is good for one of any drink at Trek.

We’re limiting this party to 150 people so that everyone has a great view for the fireworks. Our tickets are selling FAST, and we want to raise as much as we can for this great cause. If you love fun, and food, and fireworks, and you like to support projects FOR GOOD, then this is the event for you!
