What’s In Our Fermenters May 2018
Hello again friends! Happy Thursday to you! We’ve had so much going on that the days seem FOREVER long but the weeks are flying by. Time is funny that way I guess. The last two weekends have been our best weekends yet, and we’re excited to keep that trend going! We’re really loving getting to chat with all of you while you’re enjoying some pints. I have to say that I LOVE stamping the ale trail passport– it’s one of my new favorite things to do. I’m always interested to hear about the different stops on the trail, and I look forward to hearing all of your stories.
It’s that time of the month when I update you with what is going on with our beer situation. To be able to accurately do that this month I first need to explain what all is going on with our building situation. Currently we’re working on getting our 15bbl system all plumbed in and functioning again. We’re also working on getting a new roof on the building.
Both of these things are necessary and awesome. They are both going amazingly well. They are both incredibly messy. Brewers like to joke that all they do is clean, but these last couple weeks have taken it to a new level! John has been working extra hard to keep a clean brewery and has been brewing at really weird times when he can brew at all.
All of that being said, our pilot system fermenters are all full! We’re brewing as much as is humanly possible at this point to keep up with demand. If you see John out in public, go ahead and give him a sympathetic look or offer him some caffeine… he’s had some crazy busy days/nights.
Currently in the fermenters we’ve got Pale Ale, Cream Ale, IPA and Red Ale. Next up to brew is another batch of Vanilla Stout. We’re proud of this line up of our original six beers. All of them are solid, and they are all selling well. Our Trek Beers are outselling our guest drafts 5-1 which is amazing! So far the Cream Ale is our best seller, but the others are all pretty close behind. We’re working on getting some variety into this lineup, and John has some great ideas for what’s coming next.
This weekend is going to be incredible. It’s the unofficial start of summer, and we are SO ready. To start it off, Steamroller Bagel will be out front on Friday from 3pm till 10. We’ll be serving some delicious eats to go with your amazing craft beers. Then, Saturday come on in and chat with the owners from 12-3, and then stick around for the first appearance of Hangry’s BBQ. Hangry’s is owned and operated by a friend of bartender Elizabeth, so- a friend of hers is a friend of ours. We’re really excited to try it out and we hope you will be too. Hangry’s will be at Trek from 3pm-10pm on Saturday.
We can’t wait to see you in this weekend! Cheers friends!
