What’s In Our Fermenters August 2018
After a short stint where construction impacted our ability to brew, we’ve got all 5 of our pilot system fermenters full again! John has been brewing like crazy trying to build up enough stock and have our beers back on tap again. Our 15bbl system finally has ALL the parts installed and we’re looking forward to firing it up for the first time tomorrow. Fingers crossed all goes well with that, so we can clean and test the 15bbl system this weekend, and then hopefully begin to brew on it next week.
Currently, our fermenters have our Vanilla Stout, IPA, Red Ale, Cream Ale, and our new style- Saison. Commonly called “farmhouse” ale, the Saison is a great summertime beer. Ours is light-straw colored. It’s slightly fruity and has some floral notes in both taste and aroma. The Saison is extremely refreshing, and comes in at 6.5% ABV. We love this one, and we know you will too. Look for it on tap REALLY soon.
We’re looking forward to an incredible weekend at Trek! We’ve got Poppy’s Roadside Diner on Friday night. He’s bringing his awesome full menu of amazing diner food. I’m looking forward to trying the Italian sandwich. Saturday Smitty’s Real Pit BBQ will be hanging out with us. He’s got some incredible BBQ and you won’t want to miss it. Smitty’s Brisket is some of the best around. We’ll be stamping your Columbus Ale Trail passports all weekend long. We’ll have Cream Ale, Vanilla Stout and maybe another Trek beer on tap, as well as an awesome guest draft list. Make the #TrektoTrek this weekend!
Cheers friends! We’ll see you across the bar!
