Trek October Update 2
Guess what guys? It’s the last Thursday in October already. How is this possible? I definitely don’t have the answer to that one… but I do know that it is time for another Trek Brewing update.
In case you missed it, last week we opened our online shop. You can score your Trek Brewing merch before the masses by shopping online now! This week we happily shipped off some Trek hats, and we’re looking forward to getting you some gear soon too! There’s lots of great apparel (including hats) waiting to be yours!
Over at the brewery there have been a ton of amazing changes. Our awesome electricians have got almost all the lights turned back on, and the new wires are doing their wire thing… right where they’re supposed to. Our in-wall inspection is actually set for today, so… we’re getting really close to checking the electric off our list!
The plumbers have been in, and working hard. Our underground inspection is complete (pass!) and our trench drains are in place. They’re working on the last few in-wall plumbing issues and then we’ll thankfully be DONE with plumbing as well!
The most significant change in appearance at Trek right now is that we have floors again! Yay! Once the trench drains were in place, we poured concrete back in. We’ve started the time clock on the concrete curing– and we’ll be making that floor a brewery-safe surface in the very near future!
Things in the taproom are also really coming together. Several of the interior doors are going up, which makes a surprising difference. Our amazing carpenter has done a lot of trim work and has made the space look much more finished. We’ve been working with a talented friend, who is also a graphic designer, on a really cool mural for the back wall of the taproom. We’re really psyched about how awesome that art is coming along. The bar top has been measured and ordered and is currently being fabricated. You guys… it’s starting to look like somewhere you might want to hang out.
The outside of the Trek is getting prepped for a huge facelift. We’re completely re-siding the sides of the building. In the front, we’re getting the siding fixed in a few places, and then painting will begin. The big pine tree is coming out (still a huge bummer) but then work will begin on the patio as well.
Things are really rolling fast now… and we’re getting ever closer to setting that opening date. We can’t wait to have you all in!
As always, keep following us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for more frequent updates!
Cheers friends!
