Hello again friends! Its Thursday again which means that it’s time to update you on all of our progress. It has been an extremely busy couple of weeks for us!

First and foremost, we are finally through ALL of our inspections and we’ve got ALL our permits. We passed our building inspection first and got our occupancy permit. After that, we passed our health inspection. Once we had our health inspection we were able to apply for our A1A permit. Yesterday, we got word that we had passed our A1A as well. This means that we’ll be able to not only serve our own delicious beer, but other craft beers, wines, and ciders as well. This is HUGE guys. All the crazy paperwork is done.

We’ve been cleaning like crazy, because believe it or not, there’s a tiny bit of construction dust hanging out at Trek. In addition to cleaning, we’ve been brewing. John now has a Cream Ale, a Pale Ale, a Vanilla Stout and an IPA ready to tap. We’ll continue to brew to build up our inventory!

We interviewed some amazing people for our taproom staff at Trek. We ended up with two really great employees to start. We already love Elizabeth and Nick, and we’re sure that you will too! They both have previous bartending experience, and they can’t wait to meet you.

We’re putting the final touches on the aesthetics of the taproom space. We’re really excited about the mural that is up along the back wall. Our high-school classmate Katalin took our dream and made it a reality. We love the vibe that it gives to the taproom, and we feel like it totally transforms our space. We also had a custom glass piece etched for our bar entrance. It’s a nice surprise for anyone looking closely at the details.

Also for you detail oriented people, we’ve got custom wood taster trays made by Woodcutter’s Glen Custom Furniture and Forge. They are perfectly, exactly what we had imagined for our flights. Each piece is handmade by Carl Porter, and their craftsmanship is incredible. We can’t wait for you to see them in person!

We’re planning a couple of soft opens THIS MONTH. If you participated in our Indiegogo campaign, and bought the patio party package, make sure to check your email. The patio party is planned!!!
