Trek December Update 1
Well, it’s officially December. Though TECHNICALLY we have until Dec 21 before Fall is over, we’re going to go ahead and officially say… Trek won’t be opening this Fall. We’re really really close though, and as frustrating as it is to wait, we promise it will be worth it.
In the last two weeks we’ve had tons of major changes over at the brewery! If you’ve driven by, I’m sure you’ve noticed the biggest appearance change— the front has been repainted. We absolutely love the new color, and we’re looking forward to the rest of the buildings transformation. I can hear the sigh of relief from some of you – no, we aren’t planning on leaving the sides and back that rust orange color, we are aware that it majorly clashes with the green and tan. The sides of Trek are actually being completely resided with a metal siding, and the back will be painted to match.
Another big change happened outside the brewery. The big tree in the middle of our patio space is officially gone. We’re feeling bittersweet about that, but we know that in the end it is the right choice for Trek. We’ve selected a contractor and work on the actual patio will begin very soon.
Inside the brewery we’ve had some awesome things happen too! Our ADA bathroom is starting to look incredible. We’ve got some really cool wood-look tile on the walls, and things are really starting to come together. They also finished tilework in the kitchen and office spaces. Our carpenter is officially done with all the amazing details in the taproom area, and many of the other contractors have finished with their jobs as well.
We’ve had numerous inspections, and they’re all going well. We’re awaiting final go-ahead on a few permits, but things are all looking good.
Finally, we’ve had a lot of equipment delivered in the last few days! First, a forklift, which has already come in handy lifting the 260 kegs that arrived stamped with Trek Brewing on the side. We’re ready for a serious party now, and we can’t wait to fill ALL of them with beer. Our keg washer and chiller have also made their appearance and are living in the brewery. And, last but not least, we got the call today to schedule delivery for our 15bbl fermenters.
Although we’re beyond bummed that we won’t make our fall opening, we’re so excited about everything that is coming together at Trek. We’ll keep you up to date as we get ever closer to projecting that grand opening! For day to day updates, check Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter!
Can’t wait to meet you all!
Cheers!
