This Weekend at Trek

Hey all! Happy Thursday! Remember last week how I said I felt like things were just speeding up all the time? Well guess what – we’ve got a FULL weekend ahead of us, and it starts TONIGHT.

Tonight we’ve got Trek Together for Pilsners for Polio. Rotary international has been working hard to eradicate polio for more than 30 years. Rotary is a founding partner of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative, and they have reduced polio cases by 99.9 percent.  So far, Rotary has contributed more than $1.8 billion dollars toward eradicating the disease worldwide. While we don’t have a pilsner, we’re happy to join in on the cause today for World Polio Day. Come on in and drink some pints and know that you are drinking for good. Trek Brewing Company will donate $1 from every pint sold between 5pm and 9pm tomorrow to Rotary for their Polio initiative. Star City Sliders is hanging out for your dinner.

Friday we’ve had a schedule change for our food truck. Lynette’s Country BBQ will be filling in and we’re REALLY excited about it. Larry makes DELICIOUS BBQ and he’s got a super awesome new truck. He’s thinking about mixing up his menu a bit, and bringing some wings for Friday night fun. You can pre-order what you’d like by contacting him here.

On Friday we’ve also got live music by our new friend Scooby Doo. Scooby is a local artist who is singing everything from Tom Petty to Johnny Cash to Oasis. He is really REALLY good. Don’t miss a chance to catch some live tunes to start out your evening.

Saturday is another chance to watch the Buckeyes on the big screens. We’re opening early at 11:30 for you to grab your pints and your game day food from Rockin Rolls and get situated. Don’t forget that we’re also doing our Football Food Drive. Bring your canned goods and save $1 per pint. We’ll donate those cans to the Licking County Food Pantry Network. So far we’ve donated over 90lbs of canned goods. We’d like to double that number by the end of the Buckeye season. We’ll have the game on the big screens, sound on. Bring your friends, your family– kids included! We’ve got a great play space for them to hang out while you watch the game!

On Sunday the Browns play the Patriots at 4:25pm. We’ll have the game on the big screens, sound on for that as well. The Newark-Heath Browns Backers will be here, Star City Sliders will be here, and you should be here too!

We’re looking forward to an awesome weekend, and we hope we’ll see you from across the bar. John and I always look forward to meeting you- so please introduce yourselves!

Cheers friends!
