Happy Happy Thursday!

Usually I try to spread out my update posts… I’ll do an update and then do some other content in between and then do another update. But, you guys, this week I just couldn’t wait. We’ve got SO much exciting stuff going on at Trek that I couldn’t wait another week to tell you about it.

First, WE’RE EXPANDING HOURS. John has been brewing furiously to keep our little pilot system fermenters full, and we’ve built up enough of a stash that we feel confident enough to open up our Friday and Saturday hours.  This means you can now start your weekend with us at 3pm on Friday! We’ll be open 3pm to 10pm on Fridays, and 12pm till 10pm on Saturdays. This weekend we’ll have Poppy’s Roadside Diner for the whole time we’re open on Friday- so be sure to grab some delicious eats from Poppy! Come celebrate Cinco De Mayo with us on Saturday and enjoy what is supposed to be a BEAUTIFUL day out on the patio. We’ll have takeout menus from local restaurants, bring your own, or just enjoy some OH! Chips and delicious beer.  Rockin Rolls will be there serving dinner and snacks from 5pm-10pm.

Second, OUR 15BBL BREWHOUSE IS AT TREK! You guys, this is huge. We’ve been waiting not so patiently for this moment. Yesterday was seriously like Christmas and all of our birthdays rolled into one really ridiculously exciting day! Work has picked up in earnest to get the system all installed, and it will still take awhile before it is operational. BUT, it’s in the building. And it’s officially ours. That makes this crazy dream feel more real. We are so excited. On Tuesday we cut concrete in the brewery so that the new boiler could fit. Last night we poured new concrete back in place. Next up is piping the steam, plumbing the system and adding the glycol. Everyone is eager to get it all operational.

Finally, we’re finishing up some of the other work at the brewery. The AV equipment is all in and functional in the Events room. (We’ve got two parties this weekend! You can book yours by emailing us!) We’ve got awesome speaker system out on the patio, which just makes that space even more amazing.  We’ve also been working on the roof, and we can’t begin to tell you how exciting it is to not have to worry about whether it’s going to rain inside the brewery or not.

It’s real. It’s happening. Spread the word because Trek is finally coming together. Better yet, grab a group of friends and come on in!  We can’t wait to see you all from across the bar and help you dream up your next adventure.
