What’s In Our Fermenters Sept 2018
Helloooo out there friends! Happy Thursday!!!! We’ve had such a fun week at Trek, and it’s only going to get more awesome. This weekend is the Jailhouse Rock Beer Fest, and we are beyond excited to be a sponsor of this super-awesome event. This year promises to be bigger and better than last year– 26 breweries, 5 food trucks, 7 bands… it’s going to be amazing. We’re bringing some awesome beer, (our Cream Ale, and **NEW** Coffee Vanilla Stout) and we’re hoping to see you there.
Speaking of beer, it’s time to fill you in on what we’ve been up to.
On the pilot system (1bbl) we’ve got:
Saison- this delicious slightly fruity, slightly floral totally light and refreshing beer has won your hearts. We love it. You love it. We’ll keep this one around for good. On tap now, but will probably be gone for a couple weeks until the batch currently fermenting is ready!
Red Ale- We fly through our Red Ale as fast as we can make it. This balanced brew is easy to love. I like to say it’s the Goldilocks of beer— not too hoppy, not too malty, it’s just right. Look for it to be back on tap really soon.
Coffee Vanilla Stout– look for this one to be debuted at the Jailhouse Rock festival on Saturday!!! We’ve got a limited run of this, so make sure to get yours before it’s gone!
Experimental IPA– We’re super excited about this IPA, and hoping it turns out as awesome as we think it will. We took a detour from our normal IPA on this one, and John had a lot of fun trying out a new recipe. We can’t wait to see how it all turns out.
On the 15bbl system we’ve brewed:
Cream Ale- our most popular brew is super light and amazingly refreshing. This is our “gateway” craft beer. It is the most approachable beer in our lineup, and it’s attracting both non-craft beer drinkers and craft aficionados. This beer is just plain delicious. With 15bbls of it coming out of the ferementers soon, you can expect to see some cool variations for the taproom.
Pale Ale- this beer is everything a great classic Pale Ale should be. It’s got a nice citrus hop profile, with just the right amount of bitterness. We love it. You love it. We’re excited to have this big batch of it.
We’re excited about these beers and about the upcoming events. We’re looking forward to Jailhouse Rock this weekend, and we’re really excited about our first Trek Together Program benefiting Mental Health America of Licking County. Trek Brewing Company will be donating $1 from every pint sold at the taproom during our event to Mental Health America of Licking County. Make sure you come out next Thursday evening and support this awesome community partner. We’ve got an exciting week ahead, and we can’t wait to see you from across the bar.
Cheers friends!
