Trek March Update 1

Hey Friends! Happy Happy Thursday! Happy March! I can’t believe that March is here already, but the calendar suggests that to be true. We’ve had an unbelievable two weeks at Trek, and I can’t wait to tell you everything we’ve been up to.

We’ve finished the first phase of work at Trek. Our taproom is 99% complete. (We’re still working to get the draft beer taps coming straight out of the wall from our new cooler.) The amazing mural is up and looks awesome. All our AV equipment is up and functioning, including a digital menu, music, and multiple TV’s. The patio is fully set, and we’re waiting for the promise of Spring to put some furniture out there. The pilot system and everything that entails are running smoothly in the brewery. Life is good.

We have had two soft open events at Trek. Both nights were hugely successful. John and I are overjoyed that all of this is finally FINALLY becoming a reality. People other than our families and contractors have been inside the building. People other than our families and close friends have tasted Trek beer. We’ve received great comments about both the building and the beer. To be honest, I’m not completely sure that it has fully sunk in yet. We’ve spent over a year and a half planning all the little details, and now it’s real. And that feels awesome.

And now, the time has come to share that awesome with the world. We’re ready for you to come in and share in this journey with us. Right now, we’re still limited in the amount of beer that we can produce, so we’re limiting our hours. We’re brewing as fast as our little pilot system can go, but it only produces 2 kegs at a time. We’ll have an official grand opening when our 15bbl brewhouse is up and running and we can have set hours. For now, we’re planning to be open to the public for just a few hours each week. You’ll be able to see our open hours by checking Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and our website.

This week, we’ll be open Saturday March 3rd from 5-9pm. Smitty’s Real Pit BBQ food truck will be at Trek ready to serve you some delicious BBQ. We have 4 amazing Trek beers on tap; our Cream Ale, Pale Ale, Vanilla Stout, and our IPA. We also have 5 guest taps from other awesome Ohio breweries. We’re proudly serving Buckeye Lake Winery wines if beer isn’t your thing but you want to check out our awesome spot. In addition, we have a few soft drinks available for purchase.

Friends, we can’t thank you enough for joining us on this trek to Trek. It’s been an incredible journey so far, but now the real adventure is beginning. We can’t wait to share it all with you. We’re looking forward to seeing you on Saturday, or in the weeks to come!

Cheers!
