Hey friends! Happy happy Thursday! Although the weather hasn’t completely cooperated yet, fall is upon us. For most of us, that means getting back into weekly routines and schedules and finding ways to sneak in some good R&R. Most importantly (to John at least) it also means football is back.

If you haven’t heard yet, we’re doing a Football Food Drive at Trek. Every single Buckeyes game this season, we’re collecting canned food for the Licking County Food Pantry Network. The Licking County FPN has lost a lot of funding this year due to a major corporate sponsor’s restructuring. At Trek, we’re trying to help meet this need. We’re asking that you “be a fan and bring a can!” When you come to watch the Buckeyes at Trek, bring a canned good. Each canned good will get you $1 off per pint (limit $1 off per pint). The past two weeks have brought in SEVERAL boxes of canned food items already. We’re hoping to make a real difference in our community, so please help us! Trek has the best place to watch the games – two projection TV’s and 6 other screens. There isn’t a bad viewing spot in the taproom!  We’ve got great food trucks for the games in addition to in house pizzas and snacks. There’s enough room to bring your whole clan- even the kids! We’ve got a great kids area in the corner so there’s plenty to keep them busy while you’re watching the game. We’ll play college football all day, so if OSU isn’t your team, there’s a good chance your game will be on. If Ohio State plays a noon game, we’ll open the taproom at 11:30am. If the game goes past closing, we’ll stay open till it’s over.

We’re also really excited to be the host of the Newark-Heath Browns Backers. Despite a rough first game, we’re pretty sure that this is THE YEAR for the Browns. If you haven’t joined the group, you should! It’s free- and you’ve got the chance to win prizes and swag. We’ve got food trucks lined up for those games too. Bring your friends and family and come watch with us! We’ll stay open later on the nights that the Browns play a late game. 

Trek is really the ideal spot to watch football, and we hope you’ll put us in your routine this fall. Join us Saturday for the first BIG 10 game (OSU vs Indiana) and bring a canned good for our football food drive.
