So I went into work this week, and my office mate has her entire calendar erased, and GROUNDHOGS DAY scrawled across it. And I thought, “this is the truest thing I’ve seen this week.” Like so many of you, I have zero concept of time anymore, but I’m almost positive it’s either March 8000 or April 64. It seems crazy to live in this world where everything as we know it has changed, and life as we know it can completely change from hour to hour. We’re adapting and changing things at Trek almost with that same frequency. We’re currently […]
Well guys, we’ve reached the “interesting twist” point in the story of Trek. When we got the news that bars and restaurants were ordered to close at 9pm, we were not together. John was home with the boys, dude’s day was in full swing, and the three boys were busy building a Leprechaun trap. When I texted to tell John what was happening, they immediately came into Trek to begin to figure out our next steps. What’s even more amazing is that so did SO many of you. We were (and honestly, we continue to be) all the emotions. We […]

To that end, we want to assure you that we are taking extra steps to ensure that we have the safest environment possible. Trek Brewing Company will immediately put into practice the following measures: You’ll see our staff pausing to wash hands more frequently. We’re asking that they do […]

So, this week we had our Trek Christmas party. I know. It’s February. Christmas was over literally months ago. But, we never got a chance to celebrate with our people. And, we realized that we really wanted to celebrate with these people that have become our extended family. Hence, Christmas in February. My most read blog posts are about how we make this whole owning a business and having a young family thing work. People like to hear stories. Maybe some of you out there are considering starting your own business– and as we’ve shared before, we’d LOVE to sit […]
Remember how a few weeks ago we mentioned that a lot of the breweries in Licking County were all working on big projects? Well, we are too. If you’re watching our social media, we’ve been hinting at it for a couple of weeks now. We’re really excited to bring you the awesome news that Trek is opening a kitchen. Even more awesome news? Bryon from Star City Sliders is going to be our chef. That’s right… we’re going to have the Trek Kitchen featuring Star City Sliders. We’ve been planning this for awhile now, and we’re excited to open the […]
I am SO excited to share our blog post today. It’s time to talk about my very favorite event of the year! Starting today, you can purchase your tickets for our annual 0.5k. Yes, you read that right, it is a POINT 5k. We call it the run with a point. Here’s the deal. I HATE running. Despise it. I enjoy activities like swimming specifically because there is no running involved. However, I am super jealous of all my friends that do 5k’s and get really cool shirts. I LOVE a really cool shirt. Therefore, the 0.5k was born. This […]
I am one of those people that doesn’t watch the news. This is one of those things that absolutely baffles my mother, but I’ve just found that in general I’m MUCH happier not watching the things that are being reported on. I do try to stay somewhat in the loop, so that I can speak with marginal intelligence about current events. I read the Skimm in my email daily. Occasionally I’ll scroll through the local paper… I even read whole articles where my handsome husband is the feature. This week, even living in my bubble, it was hard to ignore […]

So, if you’ve met me in person, you know that I’m a talker. I love to talk to anyone and everyone about pretty much anything. It’s one of the major reasons I absolutely love bartending. I’m fascinated by people, and I’m genuinely interested in hearing their stories. I’ve made incredible new friends by just chatting to people behind the bar. Recently we’ve been talking about how to make the world a better place. It feels like a HUGE thing to undertake. How can I, just one person, do anything significant? But on the other hand, how can I not try? […]
