Trek January Update 2

Somehow Thursday is here again. The days are speeding past, and they are incredibly full. Time flies when you’re having fun, and at this point we’re pretty sure that time just flies when you’re just too busy to know your name. At any rate, it’s time to update you all on our progress in the past two weeks!

First, the painting at the brewery is done! It looks amazing! We’re in love! Lots of exclamation points! But really, it looks great. We’ve chosen a sage green for the walls in the taproom, lobby, and bar area. The trim work is done in a dusty-trail brown. It looks peaceful, and calm, and forest like- which is what we were going for. The brewery has all been painted with the epoxy paint and it’s beautiful. As far as the basic aesthetics go, we’re almost finished. We’re in the process of getting the mural up on the back wall and I can’t WAIT for you all to see it.

We’re in the process of final inspections for plumbing, electrical and fire. All of these should be completed this week.

We’re updating and adding a lot of AV equipment. We’ve got great wireless now throughout the building. We’ve added a ton of speakers for you guys, and we’re updating the signals for the TVs.

We’ve done a lot of maintenance on the building in the last two weeks. We’ve repaired and added hot water heaters. We’ve replaced the walk in coolers. We’re in the process of fixing the roof. It’s almost as though the building just decided that if we were going to give the brewery and taproom a facelift, we should just go ahead and update everything at all at once. As frustrating as that is at the moment, we know that once it’s all done, it will all be worth it.

We’ve started accepting applications for our bartenders and taproom staff! If you or someone you know is interested in joining our team and helping to build this awesome community from the ground up, we want to hear from you! You can click here to see our official job posting and learn how to apply. At the time of writing this post (Wed night) we have 56 applications. We’re working through them right now and we’ll be calling several people to interview and build our team. We are excited and encouraged at the response to our posting!

Finally, we’ve scheduled two food trucks already for several dates. Smitty’s Real Pit BBQ and Poppy’s Roadside Diner will be regulars at Trek. Who are your favorite food trucks? Please send us feedback on Facebook! We want to get your favorite on our calendar!

As soon as we know where we stand on the few remaining maintenance issues we can announce our opening! We’re getting there!

Cheers friends!
