Canning and Trek Together

We’re excited to announce that our new canning line is up and running! You can now grab six-packs of Canteen Cream Ale in the taproom for $9.99. We’ll be adding more brews to our cans as they finish fermenting. We’ve been looking forward to this for a long time and it is SO exciting to see it finally happen! Trek Together this month benefits the United Way of Licking County. The United Way improves lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities around the world to advance the common good. Come in on Thursdays and we’ll give 10% of your […]

Best Beer Labels of 2020!

You guys! We got entered into a contest! Best Beer Label of 2020! You can help us win by voting for Trail Magik! We already know that our artist, Matt Battaglia, is absolutely amazing. The world deserves to know too! Trail Magik Vanilla Stout is my favorite beer of all time. When John first started brewing, it was one of his first homebrew recipes. I looked at him and said, “You need to brew this one forever.” He affectionately named it “PW Stout” (Pretty Wife Stout), and it became an award-winning homebrew and a fast favorite for our friends and […]

Valentine’s Day

Hey all you lovebirds! This Sunday is Valentine’s Day and in case you haven’t seen, Bryon has come up with two delicious specials. We’re going to have an incredible filet mignon sandwich with sauteed onions and horseradish on the side. He’s also making chocolate covered strawberries. To go with these delicious specials we’ve also got Java Magik back on tap, AND it’s Mug Club day! It’s a Valentine’s Day that everyone will enjoy. We’ll see you here on Sunday. Cheers!

Trek Together for February

Well friends we’ve hit the ground running in 2021. January had lots of excitement for us, our canning line is at the brewery, we’ve got new art for our core brand of beers, and we had a solid month in the taproom. We’re excited to see what all we can accomplish in February! We’re staying true to our commitment for our word of the year: Community. February’s Trek Together partner will be the Buckeye Valley Family YMCA (BVFYMCA).  The BVFYMCA is the new name for the Licking County Family YMCA- this change happened in 2020 when the LCFYMCA merged with […]

Canning!

Hi friends! Happy Thursday! I hope that you are all well!  A friend of mine recently talked to me about micro-blogging, and I’m going to give it a try today. This update will be short and sweet, but it still gives me a chance to connect with you! In case you aren’t on social media, or you’ve missed our updates, we’re shouting from the rooftops that we’re about to begin CANNING. Our brand new canning line arrived at Trek the first week of the year, and we finally got our cans in this week. Matt Battaglia, the artist that designed our […]

Back to the Beginning

Hey guys! This week we’ve been doing a lot of interviews with various travel writers that have come to the area. It’s awesome and exciting to tell our story and share how we built this thing. In case you’re just starting to follow us, I wanted to point you back to one of our FIRST blog posts: The Journey to Trek. Sometimes it’s good to go back to the beginning. We hope to see you from across the bar soon! Cheers friends!

Word of the year- Community

So we’ve made it to 2021. It’s a bit surreal, as there were times in the last year where I don’t think any of us thought we’d make it out alive. Nevertheless, here we are and we’re starting off the year with positivity. I recently saw a post about picking a “focus word” for the year, instead of making a resolution. This idea really resonated with me- one word seems more do-able I guess. Trek Brewing Company’s word for the year is COMMUNITY. It’s the biggest part of who we are.  The mission statement of Trek is: We believe that […]

Happy Holidays

Hi friends! It’s the most wonderful time of the year! We are thrilled to have our doors reopen again. As many of you know, we had staff test positive for COVID-19 and we were closed for the week of Thanksgiving. We unfortunately had to miss our anniversary party, as well as small business Saturday and small brewery Sunday. This was definitely not the way that we wanted to start the holiday season, but we are ready to enjoy what is left of this crazy year with all of you. First, we’d like to encourage you to stay up to date […]

Second Anniversary Party!

Hey guys! It’s been a long time since I wrote. Again. I don’t even have a good apology to give you except that life this year is just insanity. There is both nothing and everything happening AT THE SAME TIME and I really struggle with words to write it all down. But, something really incredible is about to happen. We’re going to hit our TWO YEAR anniversary. We’ve put off advertising for several reasons— we weren’t sure that our doors were going to be allowed to be open, and we didn’t want to draw a huge crowd (which sounds so […]

Phoenix and Starfish

If 2020 has taught me anything, it’s that we need to look for small wins. Those little sparks of light make an unbelievable difference in the madness that is this entire year. It’s no secret that this year has been incredibly hard on small businesses. We’re lucky to have the Ohio Craft Brewers Association behind us, looking for ways to support our local craft community. One of these opportunities is coming up this next week. Ohio Pint Day.  Trek Brewing Company is joining more than 100 others across the state to participate in Ohio Pint Day, a fundraiser for the […]
