October Update 1

Oh hey guys! It’s Thursday somehow again. I’ve gotta tell you, this week totally beat me and I’m so ready to hang out with you all at Trek over the weekend. As I was thinking about what to write about this week I realized that it has been awhile since I gave you all an update on what’s going on behind the scenes… so, it’s update week!

We are still working towards Grand Opening. It’s coming, and it’s coming soon. John and I have a date in mind, and we’re just working on finalizing all the players before we announce it to the world. I was talking with someone earlier about what it means to “Grand Open.” Since we’ve been in “Soft Open” for so long, it might seem a little strange to others for us to do a big grand opening. But, to us, the Grand Opening means that we’ve finally made it. We’ve worked through many of the kinks and learned a lot along the way. The best part is that we have even more to share with you (details soon!). The Grand Opening feels to us like the real beginning of this whole adventure… this soft open has been a wonderful prelude.

We’ve been brewing. A ton. We’ve been brewing on the pilot system, AND we’ve been brewing on the 15bbl system. John is brewing or cleaning kegs/fermenters/floors to be brewing again every day. So far, everything off the 15bbl system has turned out well, and we’re excited to get these beers into kegs and ready for the taproom. We just won the People’s Choice award from the Jailhouse Rock Beerfest… which is totally awesome. It feels amazing to know that you guys love our beer as much as we love our beer!

We’ve also been working to add weekly events to the taproom. We had our first Trek Together event last Thursday and it was AWESOME. We loved seeing how many of you came out to support an amazing cause. Mental Health America of Licking County had lots of great information there, and we donated $1 from every pint sold from 5-9. We’re looking to grow our Trek Together program, so if you have an community organization that would benefit from this, please fill out the form so we can chat!

We’ve also heard from a number of you that trivia night would be a great thing to have. We’ve been in contact with a few people and we are working on finalizing a plan for trivia. We’re excited to offer this soon!

We’re also considering a weekly board game night. If you are interested in this, OR if you have another idea for an event we’d LOVE to hear from you! Send me an email, or just comment or message us on Facebook!

This week promises to be extra awesome at Trek. Tonight come in for some Friday-Eve pints and prepare yourself for an amazing weekend. Friday we’ve got Day Y Noche out front with some of the best Mexican food around. On Saturday, we’re starting the day with two of our favorite things- Poppy’s Roadside Diner and Buckeye football. We’ll end an epic day with some incredible Hoggs Head BBQ.  Sunday funday will be spent watching football and hanging out playing some family board games. Come hang out with us, bring your own food. Monday night brings back Hoggs Head BBQ to end your day right, and we’ll have the Monday Night Football game up on the big screens.

Come join our journey! We love to hang out with you guys and share in your adventures! We’ll see you this week!

Cheers!
